boy, do i suck. a week with no updates. between work, being sick, and home-computer-time-avoidance, i let the blog slack and the links pile up.
seriously, i have almost 20 links to throw at you. (you being, well, me, since i doubt anyone actually visits this page.) let's get this over with, then, shall we? hey look, it's links!... matt's blog Hey! Matt has a blog! The question is... will he update his more than i update mine? Perhaps we can motivate each other. A blogging buddy is a good thing to have. Joel Rosenberg's homepage Yes, Joel Rosenberg, he of the "Guardians of the Flame" fantasy series, has a web page. I devoured that series when I was a kid, but haven't read his work in years. Maybe now is the time to investigate further? Not like I have the extra reading time. Beakmaniac's World Did you love "Beakman's World"? I sure as hell did, and was saddened to see it go. An educational show that was actually entertaining, and didn't talk down to kids. Glad to find a web page out there that keeps the memory of it alive. Love to see it again. North East All Retriever Rescue A non-profit organization dedicated to finding homes for adult dogs... an incredible cause that deserves some spreading of the word. I challenge you to check out the 'happy tails' section and not be heart-warmed. Encourage adult dog adoption! artbomb.net Artbomb is live, folks. Online pimping and exposure for the graphic novel as an artform. No funny books here... just an online resource for finding the longform drawn stories that you may fall in love with. Go, search, read, look, and buy. the cultural society Check it out... an online artistic repository pulled together by Zach (jawbox / up-on-in drummer) Barocas & friends. Thought-inducing writings, photos, links, and more. Leather Jacket Faith Call me a geek (ok, ok, i know you do already), but... "I'll take one, please!" YourSound.com A Boston-centric media-assault site for area bands. Nice design, excellent mission, and tons of effort put into it. Take a look-see and a listen-hear. SONICblue Inc: Rio Car Ooooo... I want one of these. But can I justify it when I only use my car 10 minutes a day? cool beans world Can pay-sites for online comic books succeed? Subscribe to this one and maybe they can. Squirrel Fishing Not much I can say about this... fishing for squirrels. Pointless and hysterical Harvard study. Activision presents... Pitfall! Oh no. Pitfall. Online. For real. You can play it. Does this mean even less Blog updates? The Spiders Sweeeeet... a 3 part online graphic tale. Very nice... and it's free. Click, now, click. Comicopia! At last, my favorite comic shop has a website. Go and support Matt & James. They rock. Bostonchefs.com Online reveiws and info for Boston-area restaurants. A nice little dining resource. Black Hairy Tongue Amazing. One of the hardest, most-intense bands ever to come out (well, maybe to live and die in) Burlington, Vermont has a website, years later. "Burn, Baby, Burn!" The New McCarthyism A truly frightening article by Matthew Rothschild of the Progressive, showing the dark side of what's been happening to artistic expression since September 11th. You must read this... and wonder why there has been no mainstream coverage. the Art of Ben Shannon - at MagnetReps more Ben Shannon at AltPick A truly talented artist out of Toronto that I stumbled upon. Buy his prints, give him money. Was that enough linkage for ya? Sheesh. |
