The new site for upcoming film Mystic River is a thing of flashy-goodness to behold. A slick design, the right balance between load times and animation, and lots of content (and more to come). Take a look at the over 40 still shots from the film, including some behind the scenes pics with director Clint Eastwood (alas, no Micki sightings, though).
I was especially psyched to just discover that the final trailer for the movie has been posted in a variety of formats (including Quicktimey-goodness). I hadn't seen it yet, and the thing just gave me a little bit of a head buzz. The music is perfect, the footage is freakin' gorgeous, some of the clips they chose were intense, even in such small doses. The book is so burned into my brain that I could place just about every scene, and I'm excited for the ones that look like they were written just for the film. October 6th can't come soon enough. Speaking of which, Bostonians should remember to check on tickets for the film's special premiere at Harvard's Sanders Theater. It's on the 6th at 8pm, and it's a benefit that includes author Dennis Lehane in person, a live musical performance by Boston Symphony Orchestra pianist Brad Hatfield, and a personal videotaped message from Eastwood himself. A no-doubt sellout. |
