So I'm in work-related training all week, can't really do the blog thing from there, and the last thing I want to do when I get home is get on my computer. Too damn nice out, y'know?
Quickly, though... This past weekend rocked mightily, had a blast in Northampton. Spent a lot of time out on sun-soaked riverside trails, walking the wilderness with Amie and Neeners. Dawdled too long and missed most of the Sebadoh set, but what we saw and heard was excellent. We needed food badly, so we skipped out while J. Mascis played (heard it was all his solo stuff, so I'm not terribly disappointed). Made it back just in time for Sonic Youth, who were so, so good. Not the best I've seen 'em, but close... may have been due to the setlist, which was nearly all new material that hadn't had time to grab me yet. Much better than their last couple albums, though, by far. A few pictures to throw atcha before I shutdown for the night ... |
