It's Friday afternoon, very nearly quittin' time, and I'm in no mood to blog... but i do need to commemorate this...
Rest in Peace, oh '93 Ford Escort. You carted many an amp, many a drum set, many a band member from practice space to rock club in your day. Official Time of Death: 9:30 pm, Thursday, May 9th, 2002, in front of the Fenway Theaters in Boston, MA. And so I cast a curse on Cottman's Transmission, who quoted me $1900 to fix a car that is worth a $1900 trade-in. I'll never know if you screwed me, and I had to pay $275 for the opportunity. Thanks for nothing. Go see Pilot to Gunner... 9pm tomorrow at the Middle East Downstairs. Then go see my band, the Also-Rans, who are playing Sunday night at TT the Bears next door. And we won't be using my car to get our equipment there. The weekend is here. Over and out. ![]() |
