Major congrats go out to one of the coolest couples I know... the newly crowned Keira & Jesse Carson. They got married this past Saturday, and I was fortunate enough to attend their reception down in Fall River. A massive crowd, tons of friends, an insane variety of music (anywhere from the Smiths, to some old crooning standards, to random disco trax, and back around to the Clash), and a pretty cool setting... an old church that now serves as rentable function space called the Great Hall.
Late in the evening we were treated to a couple songs from Keira's band, the Mary Reillys, who were followed up by the anticipated (and inebriated) just-for-the-occasion reunion of former Burlington, Vermont hahd-coah band Never Only Once. The Never's rocked the Great Hall for a few songs, which featured random on-stage appearances by a saxophone, Denny, and a crowd of drunken background chorus-shouters. I smiled so hard that my cheeks hurt the next morning. Such a fun night, and I wouldn't have expected anything but that from the wedding of these two ... ![]() |
