So I now have a few war-related links on the right. Hopefully a mix of viewpoints, some non-standard perspectives, an occasional dose of truth... whatever that is nowadays.
I'm especially freaked that I can sit here in a cube in Boston and watch live video, with sound, from atop a building in Baghdad. The sounds of the desert wind, warplanes overhead, and the occasional earth-shattering kaboom in the background. Even more sobering than the news reports already are. I think I'm coming down with a case of war-news addiction. This is after a deliberate attempt to maintain my sanity by limiting my exposure to the latest updates. So much for that plan. I had a really great weekend, though it seems trival to write about it at the moment. Maybe later. Amidst all the growing sadness and frustration you can find little bits of goodness like this.  |
