More things to look forward to ...
Dennis Lehane's long-awaited follow-up to the brilliant Mystic River, entitled Shutter Island, comes out on April 15th. You can pre-order it now at Amazon.  Might want to wait to pick it up at your local bookseller, though, as Dennis will be making tons of Boston-area appearances to promote the book (well, support your local bookshop regardless). I've been to a couple of his readings and had a fine, fine time.  Speaking of Mr. Lehane, the film adapatation of Mystic River now has an official release date, October 3rd, and a website. Looks like it's just a placeholder for now, but hopefully there'll be some cool content to follow. For now, here's the first shot they've released from the film... (I know exactly which scene this is, and I cannot wait)...   |
