Tuesday, September 23, 2003 I can't believe it's been over a year since I've played drums in a rock club. The last Also-Rans show was in August '02, and I've understandably been feelin' a little rusty. Well, I've finally got a chance to rock out again, and it's just a week away. Kind gentleman that he is, my friend Adam (who plays in Lockgroove) asked me to work on some songs with him and Valerie (from Mistle Thrush) for a one-time gig at O'Briens in Allston. We're callin' ourselves Broken River Prophet. I was feeling pretty nervous about it up until practice last Sunday when things really started to come together. Now I'm a little more psyched than I am scared. Always a good thing. the facts ...Yeah, we're playin' last. Call it headlining, call it the sucker spot, but make sure you take a nap, and pray for an easy time at work for me the next day. |
