Just stopping in for a quick one before I hit the road for some festive family time... Here's hoping that everyone who's stopped by the 'Nac this year enjoys a relaxing holiday (whichever one it may be) and a fulfilling 2007 ahead. My (slightly early) Christmas presents? My pre-order of the upcoming Kristin Hersh disc in my mailbox already, a scheduled Sebadoh reunion show at the Paradise in March, and at last, the announcement of a Boston-area Sparklehorse date (full tour listing here). 2007 is already lookin' mighty fine. We're Vermont-bound in mere minutes, so I'll leave you with a couple live songs from last night's fantastic Janovitz Brothers Christmas Spectacular at the Lizard Lounge. It's Bill from Buffalo Tom & Crown Victoria along with his younger brothers Scott (Dragstrip Courage) and Paul (Cold Water Flat), backed by some talented friends on rhythm and keys. More on the whole show later, but for now, here's two for the road... Mp3: The Janovitz Brothers - "Please Come Home For Christmas" (live) (written by Charles Brown & Gene Redd) Mp3: The Janovitz Brothers - "Waterloo Sunset" (live) (Kinks cover) And shortly after I return to Boston, the second installment of my Touch & Go 25th Anniversary post trifecta. Two hours of live music from some amazing bands. Until then... Labels: livemp3s |
