Ok, so yesterday... went to the doctor. Blood test, chest x-rays, lots of questions. Think I've got allergies, combined with generic winter cold and flu junk. Maybe some sinus infection action. Trying some medication. We'll see.
This morning... an 8am phone message from the doctor's office. Amie saw it on the caller ID and called me at work to tell me to check my voicemail. You want to talk about stress? Getting a call from your doctor the day after blood tests. My heart jumped into my throat and everything went into slow motion. I couldn't even key in the damn voicemail access phone number correctly... I had to dial it three times. My brain started to imagine every possible scenario... that the news in this message could change my life. But everything was completely normal. Blood tests normal. Chest x-rays clear. Whew. I'm still not breathing quite right, but I will be eventually. The day can only get better from there, can't it? Well, not for Amie, I guess. She's getting a root canal today. No more complaining from me, I tell you. I'm switching into supportive mode. here's a link to an article about the growing popularity of Blogs...
