There's nothing like the pure-pop one-two punch of a shared
Ladybug Transistor / Lucksmiths performance. Well, 'punch' could be an unsuitable word... 'one-two hug', maybe? This September 2007 show was at least the second time the two bands had teamed up for a Boston area gig, and like
the first , warm vibes and big smiles abounded. Boston's own
One Happy Island eased us nicely into the evening, and while I wasn't familiar with San Fran's
Still Flyin' before their set, they were a well-chosen second dose of danceable fun, and even lent a member or two to the Ladybugs, adding even more layers to their carefully-constructed pop songs.
