Couldn't resist a live blog post from my spot in the DJ booth above a packed River Gods crowd, where I'm playing songs as part of the second Tourfilter DJ Night. For the curious, here's what I'm playing tonight. I'm honored to be debuting a new track from the Smittens, which was finished this past weekend at the mixing hands of Mr. Eric Masunaga. It's called "100 Roses", and will appear on their almost-finished sophomore album. A very cool new feature this evening: If you send a text message from your cell phone containing the word "tourfilter" to MSGME (#67463), you'll get an instant response telling you what song I'm playing and where the artist will be appearing soon in town. Oh sweet, sweet technology. This also marks the first time in seven years that this PC geek has ever blogged from a Mac. And I'm having a very hard time not pressing CTRL instead of that freakin' apple button. Yeah, yeah... laugh it up, Mac-heads. |
