As promised, here's a live set from Washington State's too-short lived twee ambassadors, Crayon. It comes from the Burlington, Vermont stop of their 1994 cross-country journey with the Softies (I shared their set here a couple weeks back). It ended up being their only tour, as they broke up shortly after, and was in support of their solitary full-lengther, Brick Factory, on one of my favorite pop labels ever, Boston's Harriet Records. Again, keep in mind that this audio comes from the single microphone of an old camcorder, copied to a now ten-year-old vhs tape, then transferred into my pc. I've done my damndest to clean it up, but set your audio expectations a little lower. CrayonFrom Crayon's remains rose the also-pretty-excellent Tullycraft, who just last week released a new album called Disenchanted Hearts Unite on Magic Marker Records. Labels: livemp3s |
